Whew! What a week it’s been over here at the WORC household! All the work, cooking and cleaning we spent over the last week paid off to the grand finale on Saturday and we had a BLAST! It’s moments like these when good friends come together for friendship and food that make the days of planning worth the effort. Saturday was one of the bi-annual testing days for the two dojo’s and afterwards everyone headed over to our house for the party. It was also Sensei’s 50th Birthday so the occasion was extra special .
With over 70 guests, it was definitely a party to be reckoned with. Cooking for this many people was a record for us. It was just the two of us chopping, slicing, shredding, mixing, frying and baking. So as you can tell, we’re a little tired, but happy that it all turned out so well. We graciously kicked everyone out of the house by 5 pm so that we could go to work. Yes, we had to work on Saturday after the party!
We’re keeping this post simple and leaving you with some of the food photographs of the party. Sorry, we’re too pooped to list any recipes right now. Just feast on the pictures Enjoy! If you made a dish similar to what we have, link away your recipe!!

So that’s it! Our feast for 70 guests. We just couldn’t get a web cam together in time for all of you to join us. BUT….we will be adding it in the very near future.
We’re thinking about having a monthly webcam day called “Sunday Breakfast with WORC”. It would be on the first Sunday of every month beginning at 8 am Western standard time.
What do you think? Would you like to join us for a monthly Sunday breakfast, as well as joining us via a live web cam along our “exploring” days too?

I can’t even imagine 70 people in my house. I’m just a quiet kind of guy, I would have lost my mind, lol
I love that you opened the post with the desserts. Yay!
I’d love to be able to hang out; of course, you guys won’t be able to see me though
Your party spread is gorgeous! Very impressive. The veggie spring rolls are especially pretty.
Congrats on surviving and succeeding in pulling off a sure-fire good party. The array of food is colourful, matching the backdrop of your garden.
Todd, the BBQ you have is awesome!
Wow what a spread! Everything looks beautiful! I’d dive in for those cupcakes first! I’d love to watch you guys on a webcam….and I mean that in a totally un-voyeuristic kinda way, lol.

Awesome and awe inspiring!
What a spread.
Rest up and come back with the recipes. Don’t know which I want the most.
You guys are superheros! What an amazing spread – so beautifully set out with thoughtful touches everywhere. Congratulations for putting out a fabulous delectable looking feast!
Bravo! That’s a stupendous spread.
I’d enjoy a video breakfast with you, but I’d prefer the real thing!
Great looking food! I bet your guests left very happy!
Nom nom nom! Everything looks totally awesome! Was it all okay even though all the food wasn’t completely fresh/hot the whole time?
That’s a lot of guests, a lot of food, and it looks awesome! All I can say is holy crap, amazing work!
Gorgeous. Catering is no easy task and you folks really went the extra mile on this one. Congrats on pulling all that off. Those are some very lucky guests.
I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall….or a slider! Everything looked amazing – I’m so happy to hear it all turned out great – not that I had any doubts!
You two are just AMAZING!!!
What a marvelous selection of gourmet delights!
Wow!
Wow, I love your presentation for the feasting table. Everything looks amazing. I’m quite impressed! I’m tempted to pick off a piece of meat from the grill!
OMG. That is un-sodding believable. Some of the best food I have ever seen at such a large gathering. Makes me want to join Todd’s dojo for next year!
Not only does everything, and I mean everything, look incredible, the sheer volume of food you guys produced is striking. I have no idea how long you were cooking for, but it must have been ages. Everything looks so fresh, bright and happy.
So, I am dying to know – what did you do 3 days before, 2 days before and so on?
Can’t believe we weren’t invited!
Looks FANTASTIC! Your pulled pork definitely looks better than ours. Great job you two!
Your guests are so lucky. That meal looks like the most delicious and exciting feast I can imagine. I am dying for those cupcakes. They look incredible.
That is a lot of great looking food! I cannot even imagine trying to cook for 70 people…
Wow that’s a stunning spread! I’d fight my way past a few black belts to get a few bites of that.
…WOW! Amazing spread and beautiful pictures! I’m drooling…I’d love to hear about how you pulled it all off and any recipes you’ll share!
Wow, what an awesome spread!!! You guys are amazing. I would have loved to experience all of your food creations.
Hey, I have a little award for you to pick up on my blog
Diane and Todd –
That’s it – I’m moving in and I won’t be leaving for several years.
The food looks so amazing – the mix of Asian and western ingredients/techniques is just wonderful. I love the presentation too – especially the wine crates. Oh, and those flowers look pretty nice for being cheap, girlfriend!
Wow, the spread is absolutely amazing! I’m so impressed by the variety of food and how you managed to prepare all the food by yourselves… bravo!!!
I’m not sure about wanting to watch “Sunday Breakfast with WORC.” Well, I’d like to watch, but then I’d be too envious of your food and be extremely hungry.
feeding 70 people is certainly no small endeavor, but i’m sure you pulled it off perfectly and your guests walked away with full bellies and smiles on their faces! heck, i’m smiling just looking at your pictures!
Wow, what a spread…that all looks so good! And I think that web cam idea is great!
Yiha! You kids put on a DOG! That’s a great looking spread of food, but I don’t see the guests!! Did you just pull our collective legs and make all that food just to make us *think* you threw a party and all?
Just kidding. I love Todd-man and the grilling action. Gorgeous food, guys. Woohoo!
I am not a brekkie girl, and I usually am out the door before sunrise on a Sunday morning, but if you post your Sunday brekkie – I’ll happily indulge with you from afar!! xxoo
Lovely gnosh! While everything looks beautiful and delicious those custard tarts look exceptionally so. Did you use a shortbread crust or a traditional tart crust or something else entirely? The bakers among us wanna know!
…And once again I’ve made the mistake of checking out your blog before eating a meal. I could eat the leg off a wildebeast now.
i am so so so impressed! you have absolutely earned the right to eat takeout (or leftovers, if there were any!) for a month after putting together that feast!
I am not sure about 70 people but I love puttingon BBQs like this and your grill is almost the same as mine. I just love it and the flavor is the best with carcoal and wood, yum.
Webcam, your brave I am not sure if I could let people in but who knows Niko (hubby) just bought one on ebay yesterday so maybe I would…nope could not do it with the kids. If you guys do it you can bet I will be watching, sounds kinda creepy though.

Wow, cooking and catering for 70 people. Not even ten professionals could have coped this. Congratulations. Everything looks perfect.
Honestly, I was pooped just looking at all the work you did. Everything does indeed look really well planned with good combinations and very organized. I like that you have multiples of the same dish – it all looks quite catered. Great job! Now there’s nothing left but the recipes
Wow. Just wow. I am blown away by the amount of love, effort and talent that you put into this affair, and I am a caterer. Beautiful, beautiful.
Mind-boggling. I am seriously impressed. Also? Can I have a taste of… well, everything??
(but especially the spring rolls since I can eat those like candy)
OK, I can’t think of the appropriate words to express how jealous I am that I was not there! Looks wonderful.
rolling on the hideous & dirty office carpet, legs kicking my desk and chair, tears streaming down my face, screaming on top of my lung crying….
why was i not at the party again?? oh yeah…the miles and miles and miles of distance between us
…continue crying…attempting to console myself with a huge block of toblerone…without successs….SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB
Looks like a fabulous party! Wish I’d been there!!
That table of food looks ridiculously good; I would literally eat everything on it (and I don’t mean one of everything… I mean everything) given half a chance. Can I be invited to the next party?
Also: cookie recipe? I’m on an epic search for the ultimate chocolate chip cookie (chunks are close enough) and I trust your judgement XD.
Oh my god !!! That looks fabulous. Great job!!!
I cannot believe that the two of you did all of that by yourselves! What an amazing spread! I am so impressed. I’d need a week of R&R in Aruba after an undertaking like that. You guys should open up your own catering business. Seriously!
That is just amazing!
I got drunk with delight just looking at the whiskey mandrin tart… and the fried rice and spring rolls. Even the details like your flowers and the carrot green on the cupcakes…
Amazing!
That is one good-looking display of food. I bet you’re tired! Cooking for 70 is fun, right? haha. I do those large parties at work once in the while and boy, i’m dead tired afterward. You did a great job! I love the grill too. Niiice.
Can you say out of control??? You guys are amazing! This spread is mouthwatering and there’s that potato salad that I’ve been waiting for. I couldn’t even cook for 7 let alone 70. Two questions… Do you guys ever sleep and how big is your refrigerator?
WOW! what an amazing feast!
Can’t wait to see WORC on Tv!!!!!
Wow you guys really know how to throw a party…such beautiful food. I am confident that your guests felt the love that you so obviously put into your prep and creations! Love the passion!
Thanks everyone! Hopefully you’ll all join us on the live web cam party next month! BTW- thanks Recipe Girl for the award!
Amazing. Simply amazing. What a party, and I’m sure Sensei loved it. You two make beautiful food!
